The short-term disability program provides income protection in the event you have a non-work related injury or illness that keeps you away from work for more than a seven (7) calendar day period. There is no cost to you to participate in this program. Benefits begin on the 1st day after an accident or on the 8th consecutive day of an illness. The maximum duration of short-term disability benefits is thirteen (13) weeks. Please contact the Benefits Dept. for weekly benefit amount information.
Long-term disability coverage replaces part of your monthly base pay. There is no cost to you to participate in this program. Benefits begin after ninety (90) days of total disability. The duration of your benefits is based on your age when the disability occurs. To determine the maximum time benefits are payable, please refer to Summary Plan Description or contact your Human Resources representative. Please contact the Benefits Dept. for weekly benefit amount information.
